The Order of Malta CARAVAN

The Order of Malta CARAVAN enables young adults, older than 18 years, to spend ten voluntary months in Lebanon. Social commitment is more and more appreciated and expected in life careers and this program, therefore, can be a useful start into working life. This project is financed and organized by the German and Lebanese Association of the Order of Malta.

The CARAVAN begins with a preparation camp in Germany. After preparation, the team travels to Beirut. There they work for severely disabled people in homes and take part in an intensive formation about the Middle East.

The Maltese CARAVAN enables young people to open up their eyes to different people and situations. With the project we want to contribute to peace and improve the dialogue between religions.
We want to change the everyday life of disabled people in Lebanon.
