Lebanon on Stage

In order to fund the annual summer camp, the young Maltese put a charity play on stage and tour through Germany with their production. Once every year, since 2005, they build up the stage, create the music and costumes and rehearse the acting. All of these preparations happen under the guidance of actor/director Severin Hoensbroech in a period of 8 days at an organic farm near Darmstadt. The play is then put on stage in Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin and Munich. The aim is to convey the joy the volunteers experience with their guests during the camps in the Lebanon to the audience.

Winning the award of the Westphalian Peace Prize was the highlight of all performances. Lebanon on stage was allowed to perform Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in front of 900 guests in Muenster.

The performances take place between late April and May. In the spring, therefore, it is worthwhile to have a look either on our Facebook Page or on our website where you can book a ticket for the next play.

We look forward to many visitors to our performances!
